IDENTITY
WebVR Exhibition | 2019
The project was commissioned by the Arnhem Museum of Modern Art, a cultural pillar in the region of Gelderland, the Netherlands in 2018, for the development of a high-quality interactive virtual exhibition in WebVR.
Not only needed the spatial concept for this VR experience to be implemented in such a way that it would provide a platform for the museums current programs and activities, in a transitional period wherein the museum was closed for renovation. Also, we decided to exhibit only works on paper from the collection, that in a physical space are very difficult to exhibit.
These conditions resulted in a dynamic design that explored notions of perspective, materiality of paper in digitised form and that reconsidered the idea of identity of an institution like Museum Arnhem in a virtual space.
