With the Virtual Paper project, as can be seen in the images below, our goal was to intuitively control virtual matter by the means of delicate hand gestures, as one would in real life. 

 

The purpose of this research is to prospect potential applications for industry and the creative sector, and provide support to third parties in creating challenging designs.

The project was nominated for the New Material Award provided by Het Nieuwe Instituut in the Netherlands and was funded by Gelderland Valoriseert.
